Covid-19 and your stay at Hill Farm and Orchard

As per the guidance below, we will be re-opening on Mon 12th April 2021

The UK Government has published the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (Steps) (England) Regulations 2021 in relation to the roadmap steps.

From Step 2 of the roadmap, no earlier than 12 April, separate and self-contained accommodation will be open for leisure stays. This is defined as accommodation in which facilities (kitchens, sleeping areas, bathrooms and indoor communal areas such as: lifts, staircases, lounges, sitting areas and internal corridors for entry and exit) are restricted to exclusive use of a single household/support bubble.

At Step 2, accommodation in which all facilities listed above are for the exclusive use of a single household/support bubble may open. This will mean that holiday parks, ‘standalone’ holiday lets such as houses and cottages, chalets, yurts, holiday boats, and motels which do not rely on sharing those facilities listed may open.

The safety and well-being of our guests is of the utmost importance to us and we would like to assure you that we are taking extra measures to ensure physical distancing, applying enhanced cleaning procedures and offering flexible booking conditions. These measures form part of our commitment to keeping you safe and ensuring that you can enjoy the relaxing, stress free break you deserve.

  • Physical distancing reminders around site
  • Hand gel points around site

Book with Confidence

When you book your break at Hill Farm and Orchard we ask you to pay in full at the time of booking, however we have introduced a ‘change period’ so that if between 28 days and 3 days prior to your break you are unable to travel due to:

  • UK Government restrictions on travel due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
  • Hill Farm and Orchard having to close due to Coronavirus.
  • You are unable to travel because you are in self-isolation due to Coronavirus.
  • National or local government restrictions on travel due to Coronavirus in your local area

you can:

  • Transfer your booking to new stay dates within 12 months of your original booking.
  • If you are unsure of your new dates, we will apply your payment against an ‘Unscheduled Future Booking’ which will be taken at some point within 12 months of your original booking.

  1. The ‘Change Period’ allows you to transfer your booking within the period of 28 days and 3 days prior to arrival.
  2. Should UK Government advice regarding local or national travel restrictions significantly change in the 3 days prior to arrival, we will reinstate the Guarantee for you.
  3. We will also reinstate the Guarantee if the advice of the devolved governments of Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland regarding travel restrictions affects your stay because you live in these countries.
  4. We reserve the right to ask to see evidence in the form of a doctor’s letter, a notification from Track and Trace or a positive Covid 19 test if you wish to cancel or reschedule your break due to reasons of self-isolation and you are providing us with between 28 days and 3 days notice.
  5. If you need to self-isolate or you are diagnosed with Coronavirus and you give us less than 3 days notice we will not be able to transfer or refund your booking. We strongly advise you to get appropriate travel insurance to cover you in the event of this outcome.
  6. f you need to amend your holiday to different dates, should your new holiday (of the same or longer duration as the existing booking) be cheaper than your existing booking we will refund the difference.
  7. Should your new chosen dates be more expensive than your original stay dates you will need to pay the extra cost. To secure your new dates you will be asked to pay a further amount to cover a total of 25% of the total cost of your new stay dates.
  8. If you do not rebook your ‘Unscheduled Future Booking’ with stay dates within 12 months of your original booking the full value of your booking will be forfeited.
  9. If you choose to cancel your booking rather than reschedule then we will endeavour to re-let your booking dates and if successful we will be able to refund the amount paid, less a £30 cancellation fee, to cover the cost of administration for the booking and cancellation process.
  10. All offers to alter your stay to new dates are subject to accommodation availability.
  11. All other booking terms and conditions remain unchanged.

As with all holiday bookings we strongly recommend that you take out appropriate levels of holiday travel insurance to provide you with suitable financial cover should you need to cancel or change your booking. This should include provision for cancellation due to Covid-19.

If you have already booked to stay with us, thank you for your support.

If you wish to discuss an existing booking please contact us. Please be aware that we are receiving lots of calls at the moment and we recommend you contact us by email in the first instance.
